About Us

Travel About Bali is a West Australian owned company launched in November 2004. The owners of the company are from Western Australia and operate independently of any agency. Travel About Bali was designed after we meet Wayan Sueta on a visit to Bali in 2003. We had first visited Bali in 1987 and returned at least every few years from then on. We always traveled to somewhere different on each visit and thought we had seen most of the regions on the Island. We had also traveled extensively throughout Borneo, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Malaysia. On all of our travels we try to immerse ourselves in the countries culture and the way of life the local people live. Rather than take tours with large groups of people were you had to run to a pre set schedule we preferred to hire a local guide and travel at our own pace. With a private charter we had a chance to talk one on one with the driver and learn about their everyday activities. The local history, and family life, the best places to shop and where to experience the best of the local cuisine.

We traveled into the rural areas of central Bali with Wayan in 2003 and knew we had met someone very unique and special. Wayan is from the small village of Taman near Ubud he has lived his whole life in the village learning how to farm and raise cattle from his Grandparents. Wayans understanding and knowledge of Bali’s history, culture, agriculture and natural wonders is remarkable. We saw a side of Bali that left us truly amazed. From thinking we had seen it all to finding out we had only just glimpsed at a tiny portion of the wonders this beautiful Island has to offer.

Travel About Bali tours give you the opportunity to share in Wayan’s wealth of knowledge and enjoy a unique traveling experience as we did. We have designed our tours to encompass village life, nature and beautiful scenery, but also time out to enjoy a little shopping and Balinese food. We are privileged to work with Wayan and his family, our range of tours and activities will increase as we discover new and different places and experiences for you to enjoy in Bali. We have also recently joined with the Rotary Club of Seminyak to help them raise the funds to build basic hygiene facilities for the schools in the Amed region of Bali. We hope our unique tours will not only give you great memories to take home but will also assist to improve the lives of the children Bali.
