3 Monkeys Restaurant
Address: Monkey Forrest St, UBUD, BALI
|
Another treasure in Ubud, Three Monkeys restaurant in Monkey Forrest
Street is well worth a visit. We had just arrived in Bali early
in the afternoon and decided we needed a snack to sustain us until
dinner. Three Monkeys looked so inviting, with its very modern furnishings
and water garden at the back of the restaurant. The locations to
dine were numerous. Take a table out the front next to the sidewalk
and watch the world go by or select a quiet table in the centre
or do as we did and sit out the back near the water garden and enjoy
the cool afternoon breezes wafting through. My selection for late
lunch was the Ginger Chicken salad 34,000rp. Just delicious. Tender
strips of chicken a top a crisp lettuce, finely shredded ginger,
celery, water chestnuts, sprouts and a slightly citrus dressing.
My husband chose the Chicken Club Foccacia 35,500rp. Also just delicious
and certainly large enough to satisfy the hungriest of diner. All
of this and a large icy cold bottle of Bintang 19,500rp. What a
welcome back to our favourite island. Later in the week we met up
with friends for a pre dinner drink at Three Monkeys and can highly
recommend both the Strawberry Daiquiri 32,000rp with a plate of
their crispy Spring Rolls to nibble on. They also serve excellent
coffee and a range of homemade cookies and luscious ice creams in
wafer cones, ideal for that mid afternoon pick me up.
