Tour Itinerary
Leave your Hotel at 9.00am. We travel along the new highway heading east to the city of Semarapura in the regency of Klungkung. Our first stop is the Klungkung markets, the largest market in all of Bali, a traditional market where the locals can purchase spices, fruits, vegetables, groceries, Balinese cakes, tropical fruits, poultry and livestock as well as household items and home wares.
Our next stop is the Bat Cave Temple, the cave is said to extend all the way back to Besakih the mother temple This temple was built in the 11th century around 1007 by Emphu Kuturan. Well worth a visit.
Along the way you will observe rice paddies, chilli plantations, a variety of flowers grown for use in the temple offerings and also the famous green beans.
Next we stop at the volcanic black sand beach of Kusamba. We can also see traditional methods of making salt from sea water Kusamba harbor is the embarkation point if you are going to the island of Nusa Lembongan.
Next we visit Padang Bai a small white sand beach with beautiful blue lagoon. Great for swimming and snorkeling. Is also the harbor where the boats from Lombok depart.
Our next stop is Candi Dasa where you can dine overlooking the beach at one of the many wonderful restaurants. Please note lunch is not inclusive in the tour price. Candi Dasa has a wide range of restaurants to select from at very inexpensive prices your guide will be happy to give you some suggestions.
On the way back to your hotel we make a right turn up at Manggis to the village of Putung for a view over the sea and sister islands of Nusa Penida and Lembongan . We also visit Iseh for its scenic rice terraces; Iseh was home to the German painter Walter Spies in the 1930’s, also Sidemen village known for its traditional hand weaving of Songket cloth. Tour returns at approximately 4.00pm
