Off Road cycling and walking tour

Our off road cycling and walking tour starts with an 8.00am pick up from your hotel and a scenic drive to the beautiful village of Pangsan ( west of Ubud) where our bikes and guide will be ready for us.

We start the day by cycling past the ancient cremation grounds and shrines on the outskirts of  the village. We then head on to the farmers tracks that meander though the rice paddies and farms. On some stages of the tour we will leave the bikes and walk down into the undulating lush green forest that surround the farms. Stop and chat to the local farmers working the fields and see the ducks and egrets going about their daily foraging in the rice paddies.

The scenery is breathtaking and with no cars, no noise and only a few local villagers, it is a time to immerse yourself in the total tranquillity and peace in this secluded and ancient part of Bali.

After spending the morning in this beautiful panoramic environment we head into and enjoy a traditional Balinese lunch at a local warung in the village of Sangeh

After lunch and a well deserved rest we are again back on the bikes and heading off road again. Our afternoon journey takes us though the towering nutmeg forests in Sanghet home to 1000’s of sacred Macaca monkeys. The nutmeg forest covers over 14 hectares and has trees of over 40 meters in height. We cycle and walk at our leisure throughout the afternoon and when we reach the end of our journey though the forest our support vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel in air-conditioned comfort.
